Peder Svan

Real name: Nils Ragnar Pedersen Swan

Swedish singer, lutenist, composer and writer (1935-2007)
In addition to his own artistic career, he was one of the ambassadors of the Swedish song with, among other things, a place in the Swedish Song Academy, of which he became an honorary member.
Peder Svan made his debut in 1954 and ten years later recorded his first LP "Karlfeldt - visor". His instrument was the lute, ever since he heard Lars "Lasse Luta" Andersson play when he was eleven years old. In addition to his own compositions, he had a broad repertoire, but also made a major public education effort with his radio program "Kom hör min vackra visa" which was broadcast on Swedish Radio P2.
