Les Hippies is a one-time sitar-beat project by Markey Funk, Tavor Ben-Dor and Ohad Zrihen from Jerusalem. Its sound is inspired by sitar-driven groove tunes from the late 60's and early 70's (like those by Serge Gainsbourg and Ananda Shankar). Named after a club in Jean Gabin's movie "Le Pacha", together they recorded a two-sided single, b-side of which ("Soleil Couchant") was included in "Mediterranean Grooves and Raw Sounds" compilation.
