Officially established shortly after the WW2 in 1945 it got its final name through a merger of the 'Muziekkorps Commando Luchtvaarttroepen' and 'Muziekkorps van het Regiment Stoottroepen' in 1951. It is now one of the three remaining professional military orchestras of the Netherlands. The orchestra is mainly known for its popular theatre shows and repertoire.
