Hailing from New Rochelle, NY (aka Now Rule), they were managed by Damon Dash & his cousin Darien dash; and signed to EastWest Records America, through Clark Kent when he was an A&R at East West/Atlantic Records.

On their album, TFS dissed Brand Nubian on the track "Star Struck" and Brand Nubian replied with "Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down".
