Carlo Besozzi was an Italian composer and oboist. He was born in Naples in 1738. Several members of his family had an affinity for music and the oboe. His father, Antonio Besozzi was employeed in the Dresden royal court as a oboist and composer. Carlo was the nephew of Alessandro Besozzi and Girolamo Besozzi. Carlo died ten years after his father in 1791.
