Romanian traditional music singer, born on 9th of November, 1925,Tritenii de Jos, Cluj county and died on 25th of July 1995,in Bucharest. He debuted in 1947, as an operatic singer at Timisoara opera house.He left Timisoara, arrived in Bucharest, becoming vocal soloist of Ansamblul "Ciocarlia" ,on 15th of December 1949. He took part , toghether with Angela Moldovan, on a festival in Moscow,in 1957 where he was prized with a gold medal.He retired on 16th of April 1986, but continued singing. He was married with actress Valeria Matei-Cristoreanu.
