Formerly the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra was renamed BBC National Orchestra of Wales in 1993, and is also known as BBC NOW (Cerddorfa Genedlaethol Gymreig y BBC in Welsh). Symphony orchestra in-residence at St. David's Hall, Cardiff.
