Noël Ngiama Makanda, better known by the stage name Werrason, is a Congolese singer, songwriter, producer born December 25, 1965 in Kikwit, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He is the leader of the group Wenge Musica Maison Mère.

He has been one of the most popular artists in the DRC and on the African continent for several years.

Mainly known for being one of the emblematic figures of the Wenge Musica group, which gave the name Ndombolo to Congolese music, and which made Africa and its diaspora dance during the 1990s, with J.B. Mpiana. His compositions Mulolo and Kin É Bougé, shared with Mpiana, and especially Kala-Yi-Boeing will be among the most famous songs of the orchestra. Wenge will end up breaking up on December 7, 1997 because of the resentment born between Werra and JB Mpiana. The group splits into 2, on one side: Wenge Musica Maison Mère with Werrason, Didier Masela, Adolphe Dominguez, Christian Mabanga, Ali Mbonda, Michael Tee, Bidjana Vangu, Djolina Mandundila, Japanese Maladi and Férré Gola and on the other: Wenge BCBG Les Anges Adorables with JB Mpiana, Alain Prince Makaba and Blaise Bula and all the others3.

With his group Wenge Musica Maison Mère, he performed at the Palais des Sports in Paris (1999), Bercy in September 2000 in front of 17,000 spectators, he became the 2nd African artist to play and fill Bercy after Koffi Olomide who played there in February 2000. They will perform 2 days in a row, on April 26 and 27, 2002 at the Zénith de Paris, and again on November 8, 2008 and March 13, 2010.

To his credit, Werrason has produced several albums including seven with Wenge Musica, more than 10 with Wenge Musica Maison Mère and 2 solo, he obtained a gold record with the album Solola Bien for 100,000 copies sold, which was awarded in 2002 during the concert at the Zenith in Paris, and he also holds 5 Koras: best album of the year 2000, 2 times best male African artist (2001, 2004), 2 times best Central African artist (2004, 2005).

On the occasion of the official presentation of Flèche Ingeta, Werrason performs for 3 successive days from April 17 to 19, 2015 at the Grand Hotel in Kinshasa with a different guest each day, 17 JB Mpiana, 18 Papa Wemba, 19 Roga Roga. For the first time since the separation of Wenge Musica, JB Mpiana and Werrason find themselves on the same podium interpreting Omba by JB and some of their old successes.
