Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff are a legendary Soul, Funk and Disco producer/songwriters duo.
Founders of the label Philadelphia International Records (PIR), which was founded in 1971 and distributed by CBS Records, headed at the time by Clive Davis.
They are credited for developing the Philadelphia Soul music genre (also known as Philly Sound) of the 1970s.
Together they have written and produced 175 gold and platinum records, earning them an induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in the non-performer category in March 2008.
