Real name: Ramona Dale Kemp
Ramona Dale Kemp, known worldwide as 'Ramona, The Cherokee Princess', traveled the globe singing, yodeling and spreading the Gospel to enthusiastic audiences from paupers to kings, for more than 50 years. The daughter of Chief Standing Horse, she was born February 9, 1925, and raised in the U.S.A. Her performances have taken her to England, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Nigeria, Kenya, Israel, Austria, and Mexico. She has appeared in the US from coast-to-coast at such prestigious venues as the Grand ’Ole Opry, the Cow Palace, the Palomino Club; Jesus Festival ’83, Cal’s Corral, the P.T.L. Club, 100 Huntley Street, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, the Full Gospel Businessman’s Convention, and thousands more. Her music career has produced many singles and five albums. Her performances span Country, Gospel, Yodeling, Hawaiian and Native American music styles. She passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Medford, Oregon.
