silentwatcher is a darkambient/black space ambient project from Sweden consisting of the sole member soundsculptor and sounddesigner myt (electronics, tape engineering, treatments).

Emerged in the year 1999 with the first CD Installation that was released in May 1999. Installation explores dark, harsh ambient textures in the vein of Lustmord and Thomas Köner. It was followed-up by the the CD Deep Space in 2001.

This work was heavily inspired by the motion picture 2001: A Space Odyssey and other works of Sir Arthur C. Clarke; hence the titles deriving from (the film) 2001 and (the book) 2061. Deep Space is commonly categorized as black space ambient.
