Sphinx is a progressive rock/AOR/hard rock band from Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, that was formed in 1977. Guitarist was Thomas Metzger alias Tommy Newton, who also played with Victory and also has been working as producer. Most of the other band members have Italian roots.
