Portuguese singer, entertainer, composer and graphic designer, he was one of the co-founders of Os Ekos, one of the most expressive and famous Portuguese yé-yé bands of the 60s. In 1965, he began a solo career. In 1966, his first record "Ei...Eu Chamei", recorded with the Orchestra Jorge Costa Pinto, had some success. In the early 70s he began his profession at the Hotel Viking (Algarve). Once the hotel was completed, he remained there as a disc jockey and continued with live performances. In 1972, accompanied by Quarteto 1111, he released his biggest hit Big Brother Joe, and he also released Born On The Riverside / Green Poem of Amazement. In 1973, he released Because Of You/Love and Let Live, then joined Movimento, followed by a gap of a few years without recording. In 1978, he sang Big Mouth and Let's Spend the Night Together (a Rolling Stones' cover).
