Real name: Francisco Chanona Camacho

Mexican songwriter. Francisco Chanona Camacho, son of Vicente Chanona Melgar and Gabriela Camacho Garduza, was born in Tapachula, Chiapas, on April 4. His artistic career began in 1957, in Mexico City. His first song was “Tu Primer Beso”, but the first one they recorded was “Así Así”, with artists such as Lucho Gatica, María Duval, Antonio Prieto and others from various countries in America. In all his songs he is the author of lyrics and music, although on one occasion he made twelve poems by Jaime Sabines for an album released in 1972 by himself, and reissued by the Chiapaneco Institute of Culture in 1990.
Their songs have been recorded by Carlos Lico, Sonia la Única, los Duendes, Julio Almada, Antonio Aguilar, Robertha, los Randall, los Socios del Ritmo, Julio Alemán, Jorge Macías, Armando Manzanero, Mona Bell, los Hnos.
