Real name: Francisca Dolz González

Spanish singer Francisca Dolz González born December,31, 1943 , Tavernes de la Valldigna near Valencia , Spain.
She attained widespread popularity outside of Spain, namely in the former Communist-bloc countries where her TV special Fin De Semana Con Dova was widely broadcast. Dova toured extensively across the continent- en route she appeared in a Bulgarian TV special and recorded some songs in România.
Her musical beginnings date back to the early years of the 60's when, for economic needs of her family, decides to try hermusical adventure. To do this, taken as the stage name of Dova, formed by the first letters of her name and that of her husband, Valleri.

1963 marks it's beginning as singer, performing in nightclubs in the region of Valencia and the Balearic Islands, synchronizing the interpretation of themes in Castilian, Valencian language and Mallorcan language.
In late 60's when his popularity began to grow, after participating in the 1967 edition of the Mediterranean Song Festival, which would be in second place; and tenth Festival of Benidorm (1968). Also that year he appeared as a guest on the Golden Orpheus Festival in Bulgaria.

In 1970 was part of the Spanish selection of performers participating in the Festival of the Song of the European Cup, held in Knokke (Belgium) together with the Alicante Jaime Morey, Julio Iglesias, Dyango and Cristina (Cristina and Stop) . The following year he participated in "Passport to Dublin," TVE contest to choose who would represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, which also coincides with the Valencian Nino Bravo, Jaime Concha Márquez Piquer and Morey, and the demonstrating once again its versatility and vocal quality. Despite not winning, "Passport to Dublin" would become the platform for international release Dova, participating in the Festival of Belgrade (Serbia) and the Festival of Brașov (România), where it gets the special jury prize. The European public surrenders to his feet, becoming the major international diva we all know, playing their songs in English, French, German, Romanian ...
