Rhythm 'n' blues - doo wop groupAn evolution of The Prisonaires. Their members were all prisoners in Tennessee State Prison, Nashville, Tennessee. When some members of The Prisonaires were paroled, their leader Johnny Bragg formed another group, named initially The Sunbeams and then The Marigolds and later, The Solotones. Except the members of Prisonaires, Johnny Bragg, John Drue, Ed Thurman and William Stewart (2) the new group included Harold Hebb and Willie Wilson. When William Stewart (2) died in 1959 he was replaced by Al Brooks.
