Founded in Germany in 2004.
Yugoth and Baldachin, better known as Ulf Theodor Schwadorf and Thomas Helm from Empyrium, formed this side-project to make more Hard Rock and Prog Rock oriented music.

The music renders homage to the mysteries of nature and is enwrought with dark moods. Noekk focus on spontaneity and atmosphere, with Helm's voice.

Noekk (Nøkk). It supposed to be a water creature that was able to transform into a beautiful white horse. When the proud stallion eventually got a human to mount it, it dashed into the dark waters and drowned the victim.
