Marvel's musical career began as a Drum n Bass producer in 1997. Realising he had a talent for MC'ing, he started hyping up crowds on the microphone alongside Masterstepz, DJ Ride, Martin Larner and others when the UK Garage phenomenon took off. His musical taste soon became a blend of Drum & Bass and the soulful sound of garage as it was at the time.
