Canadian/Australian vocalist & songwriter (b. Scotland c.1895 - d. Sydney c.Dec., 1949)

Grew up in Canada and was in the chorus of the Broadway m musical "Tony" (192?). Appeared in "Who's Hopper" at Adelphi Theatre, London (1923?) and "Who's Hopper" in the Greenwich Follies, New York (1925?). Came to Australia in 1927 to appear in "The Student Prince" and also featured in other musicals in Australia, Europe and the U.S. during 1920s & 1930s. Also had some involvement in Hollywood during this period. By 1938 was permanently resident in Australia, mainly working as a producer (for example, with the ABC 1938, The Youth Show 1940, The Cashmere Bouquet Show 1943-1949).
