Anika come from Norway, but she moved to New York in her late teens to pursue a career in show business. That's where she met Curtis Knight, aka Mont Curtis McNear (The man who discovered Jimi Hendrix).

Anika wasn’t actively pursuing a singing career at the time, but Curtis Knight talked her into singing for him. It turned out that she had a unique singing voice. Curtis Knight was so excited by her talent that he took on ANIKA’s management and began writing songs for her. Curtis Knight managed to snag a record deal for Anika with Dureco. Anika and Curtis Knight left for the Netherlands a few months later, where she recorded her single, Anika, MC Miker G - Burn The House Down aka Lucien Witteveen, followed by a full-length CD titled, Anika - Date With Music

A few months later, Anika and Curtis Knight flew back to the Netherlands, for the shooting of her music video.: Burn The House Down. The video was recorded with MC Miker G, a well-known rap artist from the Netherlands.Other record labels connected to Anika, can be mentioned Flying Records and BGM Records.

In 2021, Anika teamed up with the talented Norwegian composer and songwriter JARI. Together they collaborated to finalize her new single, Rhythm of the Light. The sound has a distinct resemblance to the music scene of the 90’s.
