Real name: Scott Murthwaite

Kent-based DJ Trance started mixing in 1991, not long after returning from one of the now-famous Camber Weekenders. After sending out several mixtapes to local promoters he got his first opportunity to play in front of a sell-out crowd at the last Seduction all-nighter 'The Gathering', at The Angel Centre Tonbridge alongside Slipmatt, Jumping Jack Frost, Shaggy & Breeze and many more. Following on from this monumental event, bookings started to come in with invites to play at venues like Hastings Pier, The Lido Margate, The Sanctuary Milton Keynes, 414 club Brixton, Kings Hall Herne Bay, Crest Club Leysdown, Rhythm Station Aldershot, and many more.

After his success on the DJ circuit, the next step was to enter the studio and start producing and subsequently remixing some of his ideas. With releases on his own label IR Recordings, Homegrown Records and E4 records to name a few, before the scene started to change in a way that no longer interested him.
