Irish American ensemble of the 1920s, based in Philadelphia, PA.

Named after the four historical provinces of Ireland (Connacht, Leinster, Munster, and Ulster), the The Four Provinces Orchestra was the first of many great Philadelphia Irish dance hall bands. Between 1926 and 1930, it cut more than two dozen sides for Columbia and Victor.

Members included Edward Lee (2) (piano, leader), John McGettigan, John A. Kennedy and/ore John McCormick (violin), Sam Moore (accordion), John Cali or Jimmy McDade (banjo), and Thomas Jacob (piccolo).
