Real name: José María Rubio Ibars

Spanish comedian, actor, decorator and publicist (Barcelona, 19 May 1946).

José María Rubio created the character of Barragán -aka as Manuel Barragán or Señor Barragán- in the 1980s as an old man dressed in an old robe, a ragged beret and thick glasses who tells mostly dirty jokes.

Throughout his career he has performed in nightclubs, cabarets, theatres, radio, television ("No te rías que es peor") and film: Saga "Torrente" by Santiago Segura.
