Los Tornados

Effective period / Period of releases: 1986 - 1991

Members: Anabel Moreno, Javier Sarmentero, Jesús Sanz Vicario, José Antonio Noguera Ojados, Francisco Javier Marin Santos

Spanish traditional 1950s rockabilly group from Madrid active in mid 1980s and 1990s.
Anabel Moreno (voice and acoustic guitar), José Antonio Noguera (guitar and backing vocals), Jesús Sanz (double bass and backing vocals) and Francisco Javier Sarmentero ( drums).

In 1986 they signed for La Rosa Records demonstrating the good work of the band, oriented to the Sun Records sound, and the great voice of Anabel Moreno. In this way their first album is released, a Mini-Lp titled 'El hombre que amaré'. His powerful vocal chords fell silent for the instrumentals 'Por amor a Anabel' and 'El tornado', the latter not included in the Mini-Lp. The album, which was recorded at the Metrópolis Studios in Madrid with a production by Alberto Cimarra, also contained the songs 'Chico de Lujo', 'Indeciso', 'You returned today' and 'Mal Sueño'. Alfonso Benítez (choirs) collaborates on this last topic.

In 1991, they released their second and last album, again an eight-track Mini-Lp for La Rosa Records, titled 'Now's the time' with 'Ring Dang Doo', 'Now's The Time', 'Turn Back baby', 'Tweedle Dee', 'Summertime', 'Fast Blues', 'Honey, Honey' and 'You Trick Me'. 'Ring Dang Doo' was released as a single album.

In 1999, Dial Discos retrieves the Ep and Mini-Lp on a single compact disc.

After this Anabel and Javier formed The Loneshots.
