François Chevrolet


Saxophonist, composer arranger. Classical studies and graduation in Geneva. Self-taught jazz musician, he worked with lots of swiss and european jazz musicians, specialy around AMR (association for improvised music in Geneva). Had numerous activities as leader or sideman either in concert music, or music for the theater ou dance. Jazz teacher in AMR workshops and high schools.

Main works: "Musique con fuoco" (Irène Schweizer, Stefan Wittwer, Martin Schütz and Trio BEC) 1986; "Megasax" for 10 saxes (1988); "Messieurs les Anglais" with members of the London Composers Orchestra (1988); "A Cordes et à Vents" for two jazz orchestras (1989); "Triptyque pour Orchestre", command for symphonic orchestra by the City of Geneva; mainly involved for ten years in the "Double Jeu Trio" pojects (4 cds so far).
