It was a music group formed by the Orland Cardona in 1981 in Barcelona.
Originally, GREC was the acronym for "Grup de Rock Experimental Català", but later this name was abandoned and the group remained with the name "GREC".
The group started making pop-rock songs in Catalan at a time when this genre was virtually non-existent in the country. This was often called the "pioneering group of pop-rock in Catalan".
