Moe Keale
Real name: Wilfred Nalani "Moe" Keale

b. December 3,1939, d. April 15, 2002Uncle Moe was of 100% Hawaiian ancestry. He was born on Ni‘ihau but grew up on O‘ahu. He was a musician, actor, electrician and massage therapist. He joined the Sons of Hawaii in 1969, performed with them until 1977 and rejoined Eddie Kamae for reunion concerts. He also was a solo musician with the following albums: "South Sea Island Magic," "Aloha Is a Part of Me a Part of You," and "Imagine." A beautiful portrait of him hangs at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel where he performed. He also was uncle to the late Israel Kamakawiwo‘ole. 2012: Winner of a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award under the auspices of the Hawaiʻi Academy of Recording Arts.
