Los Chicos Altos ("The Tall Guys") reside in Barcelona and are tower over most Catalans. Maxey Blaze is from Munich, Germany and T-Bird is from Los Angeles, California. Together they form the backbone of the group.

Their first two EPs featured singer Claudia Naranjo Pantoja and were released on UrbanWorld Recordings. The Pa'lante and Se Va Mamba EPs made quite a breakthough for Los Chicos Altos. Later, tracks on Wonderwheel Records' Wonderwheel Spins 2012 and Turntables On Las Ramblas garnered the group even more attention. They have been spreading the "tropical gospel" via radio (incl. University of Washington's KEXP, Funkhaus Europa, Germany and Red Bull Music Academy's Radio Panamerika) and gigs all over Europe, the UK and the Americas.
