Ralph Lewis

American bluegrass singer, guitarist - also mandolin & fiddle player, Died in 2017. Starting young on mandolin and guitar, he performed with a young fiddling Arvil Freeman on WWNC radio, played with his siblings as The Lewis Brothers and later with The Carolina Pals and The Piney Mountain Boys. In the ‘70s he became one of Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys touring internationally and playing the Grand Ole Opry. Today he’s best know for his family band called the Sons of Ralph, featuring his sons Don and Marty Lewis, cousin Steve Moseley, and the “other brother” Ozzie Orengo, Jr.
