Аспид (or Aspid in English) is a Russian Technical/Progressive Thrash Metal band formed in 1988 in Volgodonsk a city in the region of Rostov. The band was active for 9 years before splitting up in 1997. In this 9 years period, the band was able to release only studio album: Кровоизлияние (Extravasation), in 1992. Then in 2010, they were reformed. In 2012, a new song from them called Война (War) was published on an online compilation on a website called Metalrus.ru. Currently, the band is still active and their website is apparently on the way to being made for further news from the band current projects, the site is aspid-metal.com/
