Effective period / Period of releases: 2013 - 2016

Kyrest was founded by Felix (drums), Flo (bass & vocals), Ernst (guitar) and Konsti (guitar) in Erlangen in 2008.

They recorded a diy demo in 2009.
In 2011 a split LP with Bielefeld's Ruins followed on Rising Riot Records.
In 2013 they released their debut LP called Fractures on Narshardaa Records.

During the years, their style changed from classical D-beat and Portland-styled crust
to a more modern and melodic driven rough and dark hardcore sound.
The lyrics deal with personal and social/political issues.
