Black metal project of Nachtjaeger. He created the project originally in Oberkotzau, Bavaria (Germany), under the name Gallows Doom. He is currently located in Colorado (USA).

''Hexenwald'' is German for "forest of witches".

Originally Hexenwald was a solo project, but since relocating to Colorado Nachtjaeger has been working in collaboration with a group called the "Trollskogen Black Circle".
