Buck Rogers

Real name: Lawrence Maxine Rodriguez

Effective period / Period of releases: 1964

Swamp pop musician and songwriter from Louisiana, USA. Rodriguez started his career young, and played with the likes of The Niteowls, Cy Holly, and The Rockets. In 1958 he went on to form his own band with Mike Steen and Dale Houston, "Buck Rogers and his Jets." He wrote and recorded "Crazy Baby" and several other songs. He was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame in 1997. At age 50 he gave up the night life and went on to play music for the Lord in Church.
