Norwegian guitarist from Florø in Sogn og Fjordane, specialized in tapping, born April 3, 1968.

He studied music at Firda viderningen skole in Sandane from 1985 to 1988. In 1995, Staveteig was observed at Lekter'n in Aker Brygge by Christer Falck. He then got a contract with Falck's C+C Records. In 1996 Staveteig moved to Australia. In 1998, that team became a documentary film for NRK about Staveteig and his technique. Among others, Australian Tommy Emmanuel was a guest in the documentary.
