João Paulo & Daniel was a Brazilian country duo formed by José Henrique dos Reis, artistically known as João Paulo (Brotas, July 28, 1960 — Franco da Rocha, September 12, 1997) and José Daniel Camillo, artistically known as Daniel ( Brotas, September 9, 1968), both born in Brotas, in the interior of São Paulo. They formed the duo in 1980. In 1985, they released Amor Semper Amor, the duo's first studio album. They made several hits in their careers, such as the song "Vamos Apaixonado", a version of "Estoy Enamorado", the duo's main single. The duo broke up on September 12, 1997, when an automobile accident took João Paulo's life. They released eight studio albums during their career.
