Shinichi Mori (森 進一, Mori Shinichi). Japanese singer, composer, and social welfare activist. Born in Yamanashi Prefecture on November 18, 1947. Married the actress Reiko Ohara (大原麗子) in 1980, divorced in 1984. Married the singer Masako Mori (森昌子) in 1986, divorced in 2005.
His voice is characterized by a husky voice with a unique vibrato. He is often described as an enka singer, but Mori himself rejects the label, declaring instead that he is a singer of popular songs (流行歌歌手). He could be described as a moody kayō singer with an enka-style kobushi vibrato.
