Norman Saleet

Real name: Norman Michael Sallitt

American songwriter, singer, producer, guitarist, and actor.
Born March 1949, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Saleet began playing the guitar at the age of 15 and founded a band, the Good Family, at 18. The band enjoyed some local popularity in Western Pennsylvania.
He is best known for writing Air Supply's 1981 hit "Here I Am (Just When I Thought I Was Over You)". He charted five times between 1979 and 1985, with "Here I Am" hitting #1 on the adult contemporary and #5 overall in the U.S. He recorded one album, "Here I Am", for RCA Records. He has worked with other artists such as Johnny Mathis, Art Garfunkel, Debbie Boone, Barry White, and many others.
