Westcoast Soulstars were formed late 2007 creating a live soul, funk and disco project, capable of delivering a professional hard hitting show with select songs from the 1970’s to modern day. The early years saw the project go through two line up changes until the line up of Eli Tompson & Janine Johnson came together. With a set full of rearranged soul funk classics such as Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway’s ‘Back Together Again’, Atlantic Starr’s ‘Circles’ and D Trains ‘You’re The One For Me’, the band slotted comfortably onto the big stage and took London’s Indigo2 by storm, first supporting Sister Sledge and then Chic, with the legendary Nile Rogers.
