Martin Chambers

Real name: Martin Dale Chambers

Drummer from Hereford, England. b. 04 September 1951
Chambers played with James Honeyman-Scott (guitar) in a Hereford based live act Cheeks, a band led by former Mott the Hoople keyboardist Verden Allen.
Cheeks toured extensively for three years without ever recording.
Chambers joined Hereford based musicians Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon (bass) to form The Pretenders with Chrissie Hynde in 1978.
In the Autumn of 1981, The Pretenders cancelled their US+Canada Tour as Chambers had cut his hand, and the injury was so bad that he couldn’t play for a number of weeks. The band decided to postpone the tour rather than replace Chambers.
