Members: Laura Loriga

Mimes of Wine was born as the solo project of singer and pianist Laura Loriga in 2006. The songs that are part of her first album, Apocalypse Sets In (2009), were all composed and recorded during the following three years, inspired by the cities she lived in during that period (Bologna, Italy, where she grew up, Paris, San Francisco, and Los Angeles) and by the people she collaborated with.
Since the album Memories for the Unseen (2012), Laura has been working with a stable band composed of Stefano Michelotti (nychelharpa, accordion, dan-bau, shruti box and more), Matteo Zucconi (stand-up bass, pedals), Luca Gugliemlino (guitar), and Riccardo Frisari (drums).
