Real name: Daria Luisa Pacheco de Cespedes

Author, singer, lecturer, teacher, journalist, reporter, writer and director (Paris, November 8, 1913; ?, November 23, 1986).
She studied at various colleges and high schools in London and Paris, where she obtained a bachelor's degree (1929). She completed her training in drama, singing and music with her parents and then with Reynaldo Hahn, spanish actress Margarita Xirgu, folklorist Marius Barbeau and pianist Alfred Laliberté. She toured extensively in Europe (1936-38) and South America (1936-48, 1950-51, 1953-54) and Quebec and Ontario (1946-1948, 1951-52). She joined Radio-Canada (1948) as a journalist, reporter and writer, and produced numerous productions on cultural, social and folk activities in South America. She writes several film scripts, drama series, travel stories, reportages and a few plays. She is also a member of the Union Des Artistes, the l'Union Des Écrivains Québécois and the Société Des Auteurs. A contributor to "Monde Nouveau", "La Patrie", "Écriture Française Dans Le Monde" and "La Presse". She is also a professor of languages, folklore and interpretive art.
