US blues singer and guitarist, born 1923 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Nicknamed ‘Nubbit’ following the loss of the tip of his right thumb at the age of three in a hurricane. He grew up in Georgia and relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1945. He recorded for Bluestown in 1962 and again in 1965.
