Federico Baena

Real name: Federico Baena Solís

Federico Baena Solís (Mexico City, March 2, 1917 - June 18, 1996) was a Mexican musical composer, founding partner of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM) in 1945, and also a singer (might appear as Pepe Baena).
He was the author of successes like Que te vaya bien, Vagabundo, En Qué Quedamos, Yo Vivo Mi Vida, Cuatro Cirios, Ay, Cariño, Te Vas Porque Quieres y Qué Tal Te Fue, among many other songs.
He was known as "The composer of the phrases made", because the titles of his songs took popular expressions that, in return, ended up painted or referred to in trucks and cars alluding to Baena's musical successes.
He also composed classical and symphonic music: 12 preludes for piano, several pieces for violin and a concert for viola and orchestra.
