The Zettlers

Effective period / Period of releases: 1964 - 1965

The Zettlers were formed in 1960. In December 1964, they became the first of the pop/rock groups from their hometown in Umeå, Sweden to get a record contract. The Zettlers wanted to sing in English, but the record company insisted they should sing in Swedish. The compromise was two singles, one in Swedish När Jag Står Vid En Bar / Lördagsafton and one in English Can't Live Without Her / Baby Don't Leave Me. The band recorded a third single Skinnie Minnie / Beautiful Delilah in 1965 and was disbanded in early 1966 when three of the members were due for their military service.

Band members in the recording period:
Rolf-Göran 'Roffa' Asplund - lead guitar, vocals
Leif 'Leffa' Eriksson - rhythm guitar, vocals
Per-Anders 'P-A' Sundbaum - bass, vocals
Lennart 'Bolla' Bohlin - drums
