Ela O'Farrill

Ela O'Farrill (Santa Clara, February 28, 1930 - Mexico City, October 24, 2014) was a Cuban composer, singer and guitarist. One of those essential figures of Cuban popular music. It belongs to a Santa Clara generation splendidly touched by the grace of music, where names like Teresita Fernández (1930), Moraima Secada (1930), Doris de la Torre (1932), Gustavo Rodríguez (1934), Pedro Coto (1938) coincide ) and Meme Solís (1939).
Great friend of Elena Burke, who was born on the same day as her and died in 2002. She, O'Farrill especially composed "Señora Sentimiento". He also dedicated to the great Cuban singer Fredelina García Herrera (1934-1961) the song «La Freddy», on the occasion of her debut at the Capri hotel show (in Havana).
