Αντιγόνη Μεταξά
Antigone Metaxa-Krontera was a Greek educator, author, and editor. Born in 1905 in Athens, Greece - Died on 16 October 1971 in Athens, Greece.
She was the creator of the first children's theater for children in Greece, the 'Θέατρο του Παιδιού' (= Children's Theater). She was also the beloved by the children Θεία Λένα (= Aunt Lena) who presented children's programs on the Greek state radio from 1938 to 1966. The most famous was "Καλημέρα Παιδάκια" (= Good Morning Children). She was the author of 54 children's books. For all her work she was awarded by the Academy of Athens.
She was married to Κώστας Κροντηράς.
