Real name: Matilda Witherspoon
Blues singer, born January 27, 1914 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, died November 15, 1978 in Chicago.Her entire discography rises just up to four songs she recorded accompanied on guitar by her boyfriend Eugene Powell (a.k.a. Sonny Boy Nelson) and Willie Harris. The four songs were recorded in New Orleans around November 1936, including her masterpiece "Hard Working Woman".
