Real name: 정현철 (Jeong Hyeon-cheol)

Guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer, born February 21, 1972.

Starting his career as a bass player for some amateur bands before being recruited into the heavy metal band Sinawe, he formed the Korean boy-band Seo Taiji and Boys in 1991, being its frontman from its debut, in March 1992, until January 1996, when the band disbanded and he retired for a while.

In 1998, he resumed his career as a musician, releasing his first solo album (and his 5th overall), self-titled Seo Tai Ji. Taiji returned to South Korea after a four-year absence, in 2000, and continued his successful career with albums like Ultramania, 7th Issue, 8th Atomos and Quiet Night.
