Since 2003, DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Bigband has been on a journey crossing both musical and geographical borders.
The DJ Bigband proved – with an ensemble of 12 DJs – that turntablism can be taken out of the traditional hip-hop context and presented this musical extravaganza at festivals as well as in opera houses across Europe.
DJ Grazzhoppa started his first DJ Bigband consisting of 6 turntablists.
In 2004, the DJ Bigband doubled in size and Fabrizio Cassol, saxophonist and composer of Aka Moon, got the call to tame this twelve-headed beast with 120 fingers. Vocalist Monique Harcum poured her soulful voice over a few of the tracks, and a visual décor was developed to complete the musical experience. DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Bigband & Visual Vectorz Project took on Europe and performed for an enthusiastic crowd everywhere they went: from the Brussels opera house to the legendary festival grounds of Roskilde (DK) and LowLands (NL).

Now the Dj Bigband is on tour with a new set called
"Back To scratch".Back to the nucleus of hiphop with 6 Dj's on the tables and Monique Harcum on vocals
