Snowmen

Effective period / Period of releases: 1982

Members: Dale Le Roc, Kevin Dever, William J. Miller, Animal (55)

American rock band formed in 1977 and disbanded in 1983.

Snowmen evolved from a band named Speedqueen formed in Erie, Pennsylvania, consisting of Dale Le Roc (vocals, guitar, drums), Kevin Dever (guitar) and the drummer only known as Animal. The band members decided they wanted to be more visual and theatrical so they formed Snowmen. The band were known for their bizarre image, with each member dressed fully in white clothing, white face paint and white hair.

The Snowmen had their first official gig on Christmas 1977 at the Roadhouse in Jamestown, New York and eventually moved to California. The band released a self-titled debut LP and a follow-up single before disbanding.
